Marine Observation Mission (MOM) The goal of MOM is to provide increase Maritime Domain Awareness. The Auxiliary specific MOM tasks are observation, recording and reporting findings to the Operational Commander with no active intervention. Primary areas of focus include Ports & Waterways, Vessels, Land Based Infrastructure and Targets or Vulnerabilities of interest. Thus, MOM should be an integral part of every marine patrol, activity and mission.

Weather Reporting (WR) Auxiliary Coxswains and Crew are requested to make the weather-reporting program sponsored by the National Weather Service (NWS) an integral part of every patrol. The Sector Baltimore Auxiliary leadership team believe that participating in this effort will provide a valuable service to the Boating Community, Auxiliary and Coast Guard as well as making maritime patrols, missions and activities more interesting and rewarding.
